We believe that your wedding is one of the most important days of your life, and Soul Vaxxination knows weddings!  We pay attention to every detail to make sure your day is special and memorable.  We pride ourselves on professionalism in our music, performance, and business practices.

How far in advance should I book the band?

For weddings and other private events, you should contact us at least 6 months in advance.

What is the cost to hire the band?

That depends on the date, time, place, and duration of your event.  We are very reasonable and are willing to work with you in any way we can.  Contact us with the details, and we will provide you with a quote.

How do I lock in my date?

Once an agreement is reached, we’ll send you a simple contract to sign.  Once we receive your signed contract along with a $500 deposit, the date is yours.

Do you play ceremonies?  What about cocktail music?  Second lines?

 Yes to all of the above!  There is no need to hire multiple groups or musicians.  This means less cost and no headaches for you.  Contact us for details and options.

What if the band is too loud?

A wedding is not a concert!  We have a sound engineer who constantly monitors our sound levels at all performances to ensure a clean and balanced sound.  We focus our sound toward the dance floor in front of the band so that others throughout the room can have conversations without shouting to be heard.

Can we request a special song for our first dance?

Yes, if we have enough advance notice and if the song is a good “fit” with the instrumentation of the band.  In the rare case that we cannot accommodate your request, we can play a CD or MP3.

We have people of all ages attending.  Can you play songs that will please everyone? 

We want all of your guests to enjoy themselves, and with song list that spans nearly six decades of music, we believe we have something for everyone.   We will always “read the crowd” to see what people are responding to.

How many breaks do you take?

That depends on a few things – the duration of the event, and when you want to do special things, like toss the bouquet and cut the cake.  We always coordinate our breaks so that all of the attention will be focused on your during those special moments.

Will you make announcements?

We will announce whatever you want when you want.

Do you play music on the breaks?

Yes, we have an extensive music library and will play MP3 music during breaks. You can request specific songs or make your own MP3 to provide to us to play at breaks, or just let us make the call for you.

What do you wear for weddings?

We dress in classy all-black attire with jackets.
